Cornelia van Heerden

Director.

Passionate about people and the law, Cornelia has a BA LL.B degree from the University of Stellenbosch and is an admitted Attorney and Conveyancer. She has been a practicing attorney since 1990 and currently heads up the litigation department of Heyns and Partners.

Tshepang Mabayo

Director.

Tshepang graduated with her Bachelor of Laws at the University of the Western Cape. Tshepang completed her articles at a medium firm situated in Durbanville in 2016 where she gained her experience in the conveyancing department where she was admitted as Attorney Notary and Conveyancer.

Tshepang has a wealth of experience and expertise in the property industry and , quickly established herself as a Conveyancer in specialising in township developments and bond registrations she has extensive knowledge private and commercial bonds.

Specializing in property law, Tshepang has expertly navigated complex transactions, which includes divorce transfers, deceased estate transfers, conventional transfers, developments, sectional title registrations, commercial transactions, property disputes, and all associated contractual, administrative, and regulatory requirements.

Her keen interest in the Laws of Succession allows her to provide specialist legal advice on deceased estates and their administration.

As a Notary Public, Tshepang specializes in the authentication of documents for use outside of the Republic of South Africa, the execution of antenuptial contracts, and the notarial cession and registration of exclusive use areas and servitudes.

Kaliza van Rensburg

Attorney.

Kaliza was born and raised in Port Elizabeth (now Gqeberha). She matriculated at Pearson High School in 2010. She started studying towards her LLB degree in 2012 and graduated from the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University in 2015.

After finishing her studies, she commenced and completed her articles at Brown, Braude and Vlok Inc. in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha) where she was later admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2018.

Kaliza is a general litigator, whose passion lies with Labour and Employment law.

Alicia Snyman

Attorney.

Alicia is an admitted attorney who obtained her Bachelor of Laws from the University of South Africa. During 2017 she commenced her practical vocational training at a small law firm situated in George. She was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2020. Alicia furthermore also obtained her High Court Right of Appearance in January 2024, showcasing her dedication to the legal profession.

As a dynamic self-starter, Alicia focuses on achieving key deliverables for her clients. In January 2023, she joined Heyns and Partners Inc. She now manages the George office where she specialises in general litigation and assists with the correspondent practice for the George Magisterial District.

Her commitment to her clients and her profession drives her to achieve excellence in all her endeavours.

Lara Stander

Attorney.

Lara completed her BA ( Law) and LL.B degrees at the University of Stellenbosch in 2022. She joined Heyns and Partners Incorporated as a Candidate Attorney in January 2023 and was admitted as an Attorney of the High Court in February 2025.

Lara is a Litigation Attorney and currently works in the Foreclosure Department. She has a strong work ethic with good attention to detail. She is dedicated to providing practical legal solutions while expanding her expertise in the field.

Liize Cilliers

Candidate Attorney.

Liize is a Candidate Attorney currently doing her rotation in the litigation department at Panorama. She completed her LLB degree at the University of Pretoria in 2024, she has a keen interest in general litigation and is enthusiastic about gaining practical experience as she embarks on this exciting new chapter of her career.

Lara van Wyk

Attorney.

Lara van Wyk completed a BCom (Law) and LLB studies at the University of Stellenbosch, graduating in 2022.

Lara joined Heyns and Partners Inc as a candidate attorney in 2023. She completed her articles in December 2024, and she currently practices as an attorney in the firm's Cape Town office.

Lara oversees the correspondent practice in the Cape Town office, assisting correspondents across South Africa with High Court, Labour Court, and Magistrates' Court matters within the Cape Town jurisdiction.

Lara has a strong passion for civil litigation, with a particular focus on commercial litigation, residential and commercial evictions, as well as advising clients on lease agreements and drafting such contacts. She is dedicated to providing expert legal services to clients, ensuring effective and efficient solutions tailored to each matter.

Jandré van Aarde

Candidate Attorney.

Jandré graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 2023 with his BCom (Law) and LL.B degrees. He then joined the Heyns and Partners team in January 2024 as a candidate attorney in the litigation department. He has a keen interest in matters pertaining to Civil and Commercial Litigation, Tax Law and Family Law. He is currently working in the Panorama litigation department.

Pierré Müller

Attorney.

Pierré Müller is an admitted attorney who obtained his LL.B from Stellenbosch University in 2021 and completed his LL.M in 2023. He completed his articles at Heyns & Partners Attorneys and was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2025.

Pierré has a strong interest in Property Law, Tax Law, and Conveyancing. He is currently part of the conveyancing department at Heyns & Partners Attorneys, where he focuses on assisting clients with their property-related legal needs.

Kyla Gallant

Attorney.

Kyla obtained her Bachelor of Laws at the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and completed her articles at a small firm based in Port Elizabeth. Kyla was admitted as an Attorney in 2020 and as Conveyancer in 2021. Kyla was licensed as the Deputy Registrar of the Diocese of Port Elizabeth, Anglican Church in 2022 and progressed to Diocesan Registrar, the Standing Attorney of the Diocese, in 2024. She has also obtained her Right of Appearance in the High Court in 2024.

Kyla joined the Heyns & Partners Team in 2024 and assists with conveyancing and the correspondent practice at the King William’s Town Office. Kyla’s interests are Property Law and Administration of Deceased Estates.

Willem Moolman

Attorney.

Upon completing his studies at the University of Stellenbosch, Willem joined Heyns & Partners Inc. as a Candidate Attorney in 2021. Admitted as an Attorney in 2023, Willem currently head’s the Estate’s Department at the firm. He specialises in the administration of Deceased Estates, Trusts and Curatorship Estates. He has a strong foundation in litigation and has ventures into property law in recent years. Outside of work Willem enjoys reading the English classics and has a passion for history.

Jandré Brandt

Candidate Attorney.

Jandre Brandt is a Candidate Attorney in the Litigation Department in our Cape Town Office.

Jandre graduated from Stellenbosch University with an LLB degree in 2023 and then completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law in 2024. He joined Heyns and Partner Attorneys in 2024 as a candidate attorney.

He has a keen interest in the Law of Intellectual Property, Competition, Company, and Civil Litigation.

Thea Nel

Candidate Attorney.

In 2024, Thea graduated from the University of Stellenbosch with her LLB degree. Before entering the field of law, she completed a year of BSc Human Life Sciences at the University of Stellenbosch. She joined the Heyns team in 2025 as a candidate attorney in the Estates Department. Thea has a keen interest in the law of Delict, Succession and Family and looks forward to learning from the Heyns team.
